Another year, another site redesign. The Expressway has been around for about three and a half years, now, and it's time for big changes. Less talk, more stuff - I'm focusing on the bits of the site which interest me and seem to interest other people most. If you want to report errors of any kind (however small - I'm a perfectionist!) then please either email me or sign my guestbook.

WHY'S IT CALLED 'THE EXPRESSWAY TO YR SKULL' THEN?
It's a Sonic Youth song, the lyrics are which are here. The lyrics were (unintentionally) sort of about the internet. Although they were probably really about drugs. Anyway.

GRAMMAR AND THEM SPELINGS
Occasionally I may give the impression of speaking the English as a foreign language. However, I would like to assure that while gibberish will always remain my mother tongue, I speak the Englishes with very fluency; the reason some of my text looks a tad on the whacked side is that I seldom, if ever, check thjrough it. As you can see. But that's punk rock, dude. Or something.

Furthermore, I use my own hybrid of Amercian and British spellings, or in other words I spell colour with a 'u' and realize with a 'z', because it looks better.

FONTS, DESIGN ET CETERA
...Is all done by me, except the font. The font's called Polaroid22, and is available here. Improbably I actually designed most of this website using Netscape Composer, and now Mozilla Composer (which is so much more stable). Graphics were all done with Jasc Paint Shop Pro 6. Other HTML, CSS and stuff was done by hand (i.e by copying it out of tutorials). Image maps were made with Map This. If you want to ask how I did something, then email me and I'll be happy to give you a confusing explanation, or at least point in the right direction.
